Thanks to our donors and sponsors, Josephinum is extending the THRIVE Scholarship to the incoming freshman Class of 2030, making 100% tuition coverage possible for every enrolled freshman in the 2026–2027 school year.
Generous financial aid continues for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. More than 95% of our families receive Josephinum financial aid, because the cost of tuition should never be the reason a girl misses this education.
How a freshman qualifies
- Complete the admissions process as an incoming 8th grade applicant
- Submit a completed application packet and admissions application
- Complete a Josephinum FACTS financial aid application
- Commit to the Jo community through goal setting, leadership, and service

Is freshman tuition really free?
Yes. Through the donor-supported THRIVE Scholarship, Josephinum covers 100% of tuition for every enrolled freshman in the Class of 2030 for the 2026–2027 school year. To qualify, 8th grade applicants complete the full admissions process, including the application packet and a FACTS financial aid application. Recipients commit to engaging in the Josephinum community through goal setting, leadership, and service.
What about sophomores, juniors, and seniors?
Generous financial aid is available at every grade level. Over 95% of Josephinum families receive aid, and we partner with each family individually so that cost is not the reason a student misses out.
Is it too late to start this September?
No. Seats remain for the 2026–2027 school year, and we welcome both incoming freshmen and transfer students. Because the window is short, the fastest route is to submit the form on this page. The Admissions Team follows up quickly.
Do you accept transfer students?
Yes. Transfer students are welcome and have their own application. Reach out to the Admissions Team and we'll walk you through what records we need.

Josephinum Academy is at 1501 North Oakley Boulevard, Chicago, IL 60622, in Wicker Park on Chicago's Northwest Side.
Do we have to be Catholic?
No. Josephinum is a Catholic school in the Sacred Heart tradition, and students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome here.
