Thanks to our donors and sponsors, Josephinum is extending the THRIVE Scholarship to the incoming freshman Class of 2031, making 100% tuition coverage possible for every enrolled freshman in the 2027–2028 school year.
Generous financial aid continues for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. 98% of our families receive financial aid, because the cost of tuition should never be the reason a girl misses this education.

Is freshman tuition really free?
Yes. Through the donor-supported THRIVE Scholarship, Josephinum covers 100% of tuition for every enrolled freshman in the Class of 2031 for the 2027–2028 school year. To qualify, 8th grade applicants complete the full admissions process, including the application packet and a FACTS financial aid application. Recipients commit to engaging in the Josephinum community through goal setting, leadership, and service.
What about sophomores, juniors, and seniors?
Generous financial aid is available at every grade level. 98% of Josephinum families receive financial aid, and we partner with each family individually so that cost is not the reason a student misses out.
Do you accept mid-year transfers?
Reach out to the Admissions Team and we will talk it through. Every family's situation is different, and we will tell you honestly what is possible and what the timing would look like.
Do you accept transfer students?
Yes. Students joining in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade are welcome and have their own application. Reach out to the Admissions Team and we'll walk you through what records we need.

Josephinum Academy is at 1501 North Oakley Boulevard, Chicago, IL 60622, in Wicker Park on Chicago's Northwest Side.
Do we have to be Catholic?
No. Josephinum is a Catholic school in the Sacred Heart tradition, and students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome here.
